I really love Skool. Their seafood is very avant garde and fresh with clean flavors. My favs include their Squid Ink Spaghettina, the Fish Sampler, the Uni Sea Urchin Flan, and the Grilled Oysters with Uni. From the menu to the decor, this is a very well thought out and well executed restaurant.

Skool is one of my favorite restaurants in SF, and, when I heard they were opening a second location in Sacramento, I thought to myself - lucky Sacto! Chef Moto brings out the best of local ingredients with a touch of Japan, and his ability to balance all 5 basic flavors (including Umami) is impeccable. I sometime dream about Moto's wife, Hiroko's Uni Flan! (Tried remaking it at home but it's not quite the same!) Andy and Olia are the sweetest, dearest people, and I just LOVE everything about the restaurant! Their beverage program is solid, too - well thought and sophisticated, without being too big. Highly recommend this restaurant to any of my foodie friends!
